Katalin Novák attends the funeral mass for Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican

President of Hungary Katalin Novák will travel to Vatican City on Thursday morning to pay tribute at the funeral mass for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI – the Communication Directorate of Sándor Palace told the Hungarian News Agency MTI.

The Pope Emeritus, who died at the age of 95, will be laid to eternal rest in the crypt of St Peter's Basilica, preceded by a funeral mass.

Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén is a member of the Hungarian delegation – Sándor Palace said.
