The Timeless Heritage Children and Youth Folk Dance Anthology is a true success story
President of Hungary Dr. Tamás Sulyok was delighted to accept the honour of serving as the chief patron of the 35th Anniversary Gala of the Heritage National Children and Youth Folk Art Association.
22 dance ensembles presented their dance choreographies at the Erkel Theatre. All regions of Hungary were represented, and more than fifty Csángó children and young folk dancers and singers participated from Gyimes.
In his welcome address, Dr. Tamás Sulyok pointed out that folk dance and folk music are our unique heritage. Time has proven that the joining of forces working to promote Hungarian folk dance is a success story.
The President thanked the Head of the Association and its staff for their work, through which they make tens and hundreds of thousands of children and young people fall in love with Hungarian folk dance, give them knowledge and a joyful experience, and make them feel that it is good to belong to a community and to a nation.
