Tamás Sulyok received the Speaker of Oman’s Shura Council

The President of Hungary received Sheikh Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, the Speaker of Oman’s Shura Council, i.e. the Lower House of the Omani Parliament, at Sándor Palace.

Tamás Sulyok commended the stabilising role played by the Sultanate of Oman in the Middle East, and underlined that a common goal for the two countries is to promote international peace and security.

The Head of State thanked the Omani authorities for their effective support in the rescue of two distressed Hungarian citizens following the torrential rain afflicting Oman as well, and expressed his sympathies to the families of the victims.
