Press release - Katalin Novák to lead Hungarian delegation to the UN General Assembly
President of Hungary Katalin Novák leads the Hungarian delegation to the General Debate of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly, where the Head of State will address the Assembly. During her stay in the United States, the President will also hold talks with the Governors of Texas, Utah and Montana. The President Novak's talks will focus on promoting peace, protecting the family and improving the situation of women.
President of Hungary Katalin Novák leads the Hungarian delegation to the General Debate of the UN General Assembly.
The General Debate of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly will be held in New York from 19 to 26 September 2023. The General Debate is typically attended by Heads of State and Government.
Katalin Novák addresses the UN General Assembly on the opening day of the General Debate. Prior to that, she will participate in the Sustainable Development Goals Summit, where she will chair a meeting of Heads of State and Government on 18 September.
The promotion of peace, the protection of the family and the empowerment of women will be at the heart of the President's participation in the UN General Assembly and related negotiations.
She will then meet with Governors Greg Abbott of Texas, Greg Gianforte of Montana and Spencer Cox of Utah, among others.
