Presidential consultative meeting with Energy Minister Csaba Lantos

President Tamás Sulyok and Minister Csaba Lantos reviewed the issues of Hungarian energy sovereignty.

The discussion focused on ensuring that the country's energy needs are met in a way corresponding to the country’s environmental situation, the growing role of renewable resources and nuclear power plants as a key to sustainable energy supply. It was agreed that the sovereignty of Hungary depends on the energy sector as well.

The Minister of Energy assured the President of Hungary that the Government is committed to the green transition and underlined that Hungary belongs to the club of climate champions in Europe.
