Open Days at Sándor Palace
Sándor Palace is organising an Open Day as part of the Cultural Heritage Days events.
The Palace is located at one of the most beautiful parts of Budapest, in the Buda Castle, next to the Royal Palace, at St. George Square. The former private palace of the Counts Sándor (1806), which served as the Prime Minister's residence from the 1867 Compromise until the end of World War II, is now home to the Office of the President of Hungary.
Sándor Palace is a historic monument with centuries-old walls. The interior decoration of its ceremonial rooms faithfully replicates the original designs, and its modern yet period-appropriate furnishings serve present-day purposes while evoking the charm of the past.
We are looking forward to welcoming you!
