Dr. Tamás Sulyok at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony

Dr Tamás Sulyok attended the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
On 25 July, the Head of State met with Zsolt Gyulay, President of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, in Paris, and then attended a reception hosted by the International Olympic Committee at the Louvre. 

On his social media page, Dr. Tamás Sulyok said: Our athletes are legendary all over the world, thus we have confidence in their Olympic successes. We can confidently say that we have a prominent place on the world sporting map."

The next day, French President Emmanuel Macron received the Heads of State invited to the opening ceremony. Dr Tamás Sulyok and the First lady then attended the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games. 

After the opening ceremony, the President of Hungary stressed: “The flame was now lit for peace. In sport, conflicts disappear, and only love and respect for the game truly matter."
On Saturday, the Head of State visited several Olympic venues. He personally met with the Hungarian men's handball team after the Hungary-Egypt match. 

Dr. Tamás Sulyok was present at the Olympic bronze medal ceremony of Eszter Muhari, the épée fencer, whom he congratulated after her victory and underlined that Hungary is united in pride over the athlete’s achievement.
