President of Hungary Katalin Novák held talks with Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Italy.

It is important that there is a strong alliance between like-minded nations like Italy and Hungary, the President said, referring to the meeting with the politician, whom she said was an old friend.

President Novák stressed that "today, we are fighting for family values just as we did many years ago".
The Head of State stated that the issues of the enlargement of the European Union and the fight against terrorism were also discussed at the meeting.
