Address by President of Hungary Katalin Novák on Hungarian Defence Day

This year, the Hungarian Defence Forces celebrate their 175th anniversary. On Hungarian Defence Day, as Commander-in-Chief, I salute our forces and our servicemen!

You are the guarantee of Hungary’s independence, freedom and security. 
Today, when there is war in a neighbouring country, we Hungarians count on your service even more in making sure that our country and our families are safe. 
We are proud of you, and we ask you to look on your brave predecessors as your role models, and never forget your oath: „For the motherland, till death!"
